
Tun Abdul Razak Hussein was born on 11 March 1922 in Pulau Keladi, Pekan, Pahang, the eldest son of Dato' Hussein Mohd Taib, who held the title of Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar of Pahang and served on the State Council, and Hajah Teh Fatimah Daud. Raised in a family
with a strong tradition of leadership and public service, he developed a deep sense of responsibility and duty from an early age.
Growing up in a rural community, Razak witnessed firsthand the aspirations and challenges of ordinary people. These experiences would later inspire his lifelong commitment to development and improving the lives of Malaysians across the country.
His education began at the Malay School in Pekan before continuing at Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK), where his leadership qualities first emerged. After the Second World War, he pursued legal studies in the United Kingdom, broadening his outlook and strengthening his commitment to Malaya's future.
In 1952, he married Toh Puan Rahah Mohammad Noah, beginning a partnership that would accompany him throughout his years of public service and nation-building.
From the banks of the Pahang River to the national stage, the foundations of Tun Abdul Razak's leadership were shaped by family, education, and an unwavering dedication to serving others.
