Tun Abdul Razak Hussein was born on 11 March 1922 in Pulau Keladi, Pekan, Pahang, the eldest son of Dato' Hussein Mohd Taib, who held the title of Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar of Pahang and served on the State Council, and Hajah Teh Fatimah Daud.
